PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB)

We should all drive cautiously, but other people’s inattentiveness can sometimes lead to danger. The Pre-Collision Assist feature on the 2022 Ford Transit Passenger Van XL scans the upcoming road for people and vehicles with which your Ford Transit van could collide and alerts you of the possible danger. The brakes can automatically engage if an impact appears unavoidable and you don’t take appropriate action. But you don’t have to worry about the breaks activating automatically at any other time; they will only turn on in the event of an actual emergency.*

*Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) can detect pedestrians, but not in all conditions, and does not replace safe driving. See your owner’s manual for system limitations.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL – INCLUDES ADJUSTABLE SPEED LIMITING DEVICE (ASLD)

The intended goal of the available All-Wheel Drive System is to do more than maximize traction and improve handling. It was incorporated into the 2022 Ford Transit Passenger Van XL design to ensure that it didn’t cause the load floor or seat height to get raised, allowing it to be just as comfortable to get in and out of as the standard Transit van.
